Upon seeing my Mac setup, I always have this kind of excitement to share it to everyone.
I believe some of you might feel the same. Now, it's the chance for you to show your Mac setup to other Mac users as we've arranged this contest for everyone to submit their Mac setups!

Update. You can also submit your desktop setup to show the world how cool is your Mac.

  • 1st Place. Pixelmator + Layers + Concentrate
  • 2nd Place. Layers + Concentrate

It's very suitable to use if you want to capture your screen, organize, and further enhance the result with image editor such as Pixelmator.

And a distraction-less environment also helps you finish the designing process.

With the ability to hide and focus-only on active application, Concentrate keeps you stay focused on your task on hand.

Dzinepress

really nice effort. thanks

Julie

I wonder if anyone's even going to enter... I expected at least a couple entries by now.

KRFTW

I don't think many people will do this contest. I don't know have a great Mac set up and I doubt that many other people do either. The ones who have the money to buy 10 monitors can probably buy photoshop also.

Why don't you guys have a contest where everyone would make a wallpaper for usingmac.com or some other theme. That way, you know that the winners would actually use these tools.

Rob

Just an Idea. How about changing the contest from set up of the mac workspace to the desktop set up. In my opinion the workspace is meant to be functional rather than beautiful. I agree with Julie and KRFTW on this one...

Tom

I agree with the others...
Its so bizar to take a picture of your apple setup. (mac setup is the system XD)
Then photoshop it so your apple looks even better, vanish all the rubbish or clean up first
and then post it.

I think a better contest would be "make/design a wallpaper easy for workspaces" then the programs you're giving away, are more appropriate in their functionality...
I'll explain what i mean with the contest:
create a wallpaper that you can put on your apple's desktop while you working so that you're more focussed to your job and that you easily can read the name of the folders/docs on your desktop wihtout hurting your eyes while trying to read them.
^^ long sentence

I'm sorry for my poor english...

cya I hope you guy's change the contest and then i'll participate and lots of others aswell i geuss =)

Wendy

Wendy

I've seen you've submitted some of your Mac desktop pictures, Tom. But you didn't include your e-mail inside. The upload is considered finished once you see the Completed wording replacing the upload progress (%).

Tom

Wendy, can you still add my email? or do I need to repost...

Yeah all the files are finished and said "completed".

Wendy

Don't worry, Tom. I will just use the e-mail address you include for your comment.

brandon muzila

Matthew Miller

Couldn't you just pirate these apps if you were a hacker? I'd just do this contest for the fun of this.

AzteKpr1de

My setup is so lame I wouldn't dare to upload it. XD

iRMac

Did you get my submission a few days ago, the apple color spectrum one?

Cameron Osborn

I uploaded mine. its really nice of you guys to giveaway these awesome programs :)

Cameron Osborn

and I was just wondering if it can be any kind of desktop picture, like so it doesn't have to be all fancy to win.

dent

Thank you UsingMac for doing this contest! Very nice of you, like Cameron said.
Just one question- what do you mean by "10 September"? Like the 10th of September, which has passed already? I noticed you guys stopped updating, is there a problem? Just wondering, don't want to be rude or nosy... but anyways

Thanks again!

Whiteyez

I just send 4 pic's of my setup. (i think).

GrizzDesign

I've uploaded my wallpaper set aswell.

Description:
This is a wallpaper setup I've done last month. The concept illustrates a light coming towards you with a diagonal path towards you. The "Lainc" could be considerd a stairway to heaven. -- Greetings, GrizzDesign

dent

(just eager) :D

irmac
