Sometimes, it's difficult to search and update to the latest Mac applications. This may hinder some people in using their Macs. In order to reduce the hassle searching for required applications, we can use application updaters, which will do the information gathering for us.
Some application updaters can be seen after the jump.
Bodega is an application updater for Mac that collects information on available Mac applications and presents them nicely with a sleek and nice user interface.
Within the Bodega, Applications are categorized. Hence, you can easily browse through Applications and directly download them to your Mac.

Having installed various applications to your Mac, it's always good to keep them up to date with latest version. This can be easily done by using AppFresh.
AppFresh helps you check for latest version and keep all of your applications, widgets, preference panes, and plugins up to date.

Similar to AppFresh, App Update also tracks for latest version of applications installed on our Mac. However, App Update presents the information with a simple widget interface.

i enjoy reading this blog but, please, re-read this entry: "Sometimes, it's difficult to search and update to the latest MAC applications. This may hinder some people in using their MACS. However by installing certain applications on your MAC, we can easily find application updates for our MAC. " repetition anyone?
MacUpdate Desktop ($20/year) http://www.macupdate.com/desktop/ VersionTracker Pro ($50) http://www.versiontracker.com/subscribe/ VersionTracker Widget (free/full functionality with $50 VTPro subscription) http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/26505 Widget Update (free) (updates widgets only) http://gkaindl.com/software/widget-update Wakoopa Tracker (requires free registration) http://wakoopa.com/ Wakoopa Tracker is not exactly an updater, but it deserves a mention with the afore mentioned apps. It runs a very painless (even for my 867MHz) background app that monitors how long you use any app and catalogs the data on your wakoopa page. It is strangely eye-opening, and surprisingly useful. Has a pretty strong following. (If only Wakoopa would merge with iUseThis... it would be the ultimate tracking/updating system.) (yes I know, budokan: app-app-APPappapp..;)

If it doesn't have Sparkle, it's not worth using IMO.
@Max Do you know how to use Sparkle? I've tried to launch it before, but nothing appears.
+1 for MacUpdate Desktop - latest version is excellent
CNET TechTracker. Very Simple and works great!
Hi, As a visually impaired person, I use high-contract, white-on-black settings and Zoom on my Mac. But with white on blackb all videos and photographic images are inverted and appear onscreen as negative images. I Googled a fix for this -- pressing the CTRL+OPT+COMMAND+8 keys at the same time, or in quick succession. While this works on my mom's and brother's older Macs, it doesn't on my new iMac 27-inch. Even though I switched back to default settings, still no image change. Anyone know a quick-and-easy keyboard command to invert the color scheme on the iMac 27-inch? Thanks a bundle, Ellen
