Not only your Mac sings songs but also now your Mac can deliver you the speech with simple keystrokes.

Sounds interesting! Let's try it.

  1. Open System Preferences…
  2. Click on Speech and choose Text to Speech section
  3. Select your favorite System Voice and adjust to convenient Speaking Rate
  4. Tick the checkbox Speak selected text when the key is pressed
  5. Set your key combination by utilizing Set Key… button
Alex: Hi, I'm a new voice for Leopard.
Kathy: Isn't it nice to have a computer that will talk to you?

Anyway, don't forget to turn on your speaker or else you won't hear anything.
