ADVERTISEMENTS

Friend of mine, which is a window user, suddenly asks me to show him what are the things that are really stunning on my Mac. Since it comes in sudden, my brain was locked to ground.

After few ticks, my brain began to work properly and I came up with these stuffs:

Coverflow View

One of the mind-blowing feature inside Mac OS X that can really stun your friend to his feet. This view can be selected by going inside Finder and select coverflow view (keystrokes: Command-4).

Coverflow

Exposé

Built-in Mac productivity booster as well as eye-candy that can really help you get things done.

Quicksilver Skin

I use Quicksilver as my default application launcher. And at the time my friend asked me, I use Showcase as my Quicksilver skin. It really amazed me that my friend was amazed by this.

My Rapid Action

But I think he was amazed by my speed. I trained myself to use shortcuts most of the time, so when I need to show other stuffs to my friend, I will use shortcut and obviously windows users feel that using shortcuts all the time is a really admired thing to be seen.

How about You?

In an instant, I come up with these nifty features of my Mac, I'm sure you can come up with more. So, what can you show me right away?

I like to click on a movie, music or picture and just press 'space' and quick look the movie or picture.. and I can even hear my Garageband files if I press space on them.. very nifty thing, especially because it takes some time to open Garageband.. uh , uh.. also for quick viewing pictures it's good.. cause when you 'space' the picture . you can use your arrow keys to 'nifty' switch pictures....

Don't forget the effect when holding down the shift-key when opening the Dashboard, Stacks or any other System built-in cool effect to do it in slowmotion. I know thats not very productive but nice to watch!
