Add more information to document with TextEdit (100% Mac).

1. Create new TextEdit file; using keystrokes N should accomplish this step
2. Show up Document Properties Pane; Either using keystrokes (huh? again?) P or using path (TextEdit)Menu Bar→File→Show Properties should help you open up this pane
3. Save your new document
4. Go to that document place, highlight it and get the info (using keystrokes I or using contextual menu, i.e. Clck→Get Info
