The Exposé Trick: Dragging

Having Desktop cluttered with mountain of items won't give Mac any problem for dragging files.

There are several steps to perform dragging items using Exposé:

  1. Open required Finder windows, i.e. source of items and target directory
  2. Grab and Hold the items
  3. Activate the Exposé state using key F9, don't let loose the items
  4. Still holding the items, mouse hover the target directory Finder pane
  5. Either waiting a few seconds until the highlighted Exposé Finder blinking or pressing F9 will deactivate Exposé
  6. You have been inside target directory Finder pane, release those items
  7. All step done
